True love on display at Shanda and Matt’s wedding – August 18, 2025 – Wedding Photography

There is something truly magical about a late summer wedding in Central Minnesota, and Matt and Shanda’s August 18th celebration was the epitome of that magic. From the vibrant color palette to the heartfelt family moments, every detail of their day at The Falls Ballroom in Little Falls felt intentional, joyful, and deeply personal.
Captured beautifully by Mindi Jennings Photography, with assist by Jen at Jen Jensen Photography, here is a look back at a day filled with laughter, tears, and a whole lot of love.
Getting Ready & Heartfelt First Looks

The day began at a charming rental home on the venue property where the air was thick with excitement. Shanda’s personal attendant, Mackenna, was on hand ensuring every detail was in place as the bridal party prepared for the festivities.

Shanda’s sister Hannah, had the honor of helping Shanda get ready. Hannah stepped in beautifully for Shanda’s mom whom she lost when Shanda was a little girl. Her mom was remembered through many details throughout the day.

One of the most touching segments of the morning took place right in the backyard of the property. Shanda shared an intimate “First Look” with the most important men in her life: her father, Dan, and her brother, Josh. There wasn’t a dry eye in the garden as they saw her in her gown for the first time.

Soon after, it was time for the big reveal with Matt. Set against the lush, manicured gardens of The Falls Ballroom, Matt’s reaction to seeing his bride was pure emotion—a moment of raw, beautiful connection before the whirlwind of the day began.

A Party on the Grounds
With 7 bridesmaids and 7 groomsmen, this bridal party came ready to celebrate! The group photos on the venue grounds weren’t just poses; they were a reflection of true friendship. Mindi Jennings captured endless candid shots of laughter, joking, and a genuine “party” atmosphere that set the tone for the rest of the night.

The aesthetic for the day was striking: deep greens accented by bold reds and soft light pinks. These colors were brought to life by the stunning floral arrangements created by Debbie Cole. The bouquets were stunning, vibrant, and perfectly complemented the overcast August sky.
The Ceremony: Sealed with a Kiss
Nature provided the perfect backdrop for the outdoor ceremony. With mild humidity and a soft overcast light (a photographer’s dream!), Matt and Shanda said their “I dos.”

The highlight? As they made their way back down the aisle as husband and wife, they paused for a half-dip kiss that sent the guests into a roar of cheers and celebration.

An Italian Feast and Emotional Toasts
The reception moved inside the historic Falls Ballroom, where the scent of a delicious Italian feast catered by the venue greeted the guests.

The speeches were a rollercoaster of emotions:
- Dan (Father of the Bride): Delivered a moving tribute that had Shanda (and most of the room) in tears.
- Hannah (Maid of Honor): Shared sweet and funny stories of her sister.
- Ben (Best Man): Kept the energy high with a heartfelt toast to the groom.

Sweets and Dancing
No wedding is complete without dessert, and this one had double the treats! Little Falls Bakery provided a tower of delicious cupcakes, while Debbie Cole showcased her versatility by providing incredible gluten-free options. The consensus from the guests was unanimous: everything was delicious.

As the night progressed, DJ Dayln took over, turning the ballroom into a high-energy dance floor that stayed packed until the very end.

Congratulations to Matt and Shanda! Your day was a beautiful testament to your love and the wonderful community you have surrounding you.
