Stunning Wedding Photography in Central MN

A Dreamy Summer Celebration for Beka and Matthew on June 28, 2025 – Wedding Photography

Oh, what a joy it was to capture Beka and Matthew’s truly special day at the breathtaking Pleasant Pastures Weddings and Events in Hillman, MN! From the moment I met them during their engagement session, I knew this was going to be a day filled with incredible beauty, faith-filled moments, and endless love creating stunning wedding photography in Central MN.

With approximately 130 guests, this wasn’t just a wedding; it was a grand celebration of two souls uniting, surrounded by their nearest and dearest. A huge shout-out to the incredible team who made every detail flawless: Joanie Mattheson, the day-of coordinator extraordinaire, and the amazing wedding planner, Erin Dirkeson at the Olive Joy Co. Their dedication shone through every aspect of the day.

Pleasant Pastures Events truly lives up to its name. Every corner offered a stunning backdrop for photography – the serene pond, that charming handmade mahogany tree swing, the antique horse carriage, sprawling pastures, and those magnificent giant oak trees. And as if that wasn’t enough, fields of delicate white daisies added an ethereal touch to the landscape creating stunning wedding photography in Central MN.

The day began with Beka and her bridesmaids getting ready at a cozy Airbnb in Onamia. The excitement was palpable! Then, it was off to the venue’s elegantly decorated getting-ready tents where Beka slipped into her stunning dress, veil, shoes, and jewelry. Every detail was perfect.

We began with Beka’s first look with her dad on the gravel hill – a truly precious exchange. Then, one of the most touching moments was Matthew’s turn under the majestic giant old oak tree. The look on his face when he saw his beautiful bride was absolutely priceless.

Following these tender moments, we gathered the fantastic bridal party – Ziva, Erin, Mariah, Michael, Mitchell, and James – for some fun and vibrant photos.

Beka and Matthew’s portraits around the venue were simply magical, utilizing the vast pastures, the antique horse carriage, the charming swing, and that stunning black fence line.

The ceremony itself was incredibly heartfelt and deeply faith-filled. It began with two beautiful worship songs, dedicating their marriage to the Lord, and included a meaningful time of braiding a cord of three strands, symbolizing their union with each other and with God. All of this unfolded under the ancient oak tree, with the soothing flow of the pond’s fountain and gorgeous flowers creating a truly serene atmosphere.

Family formals were also captured under the embrace of the oak tree, with the picturesque pond and fountain as a stunning backdrop.

Then, we stole away for some more intimate portraits of Beka and Matthew – playing with Beka’s flowing veil, sharing sweet moments on the swing, and finding secluded spots by the black fence line all the while showcasing my vibrant, true to color, true to life photography style.

The reception kicked off with a bang, thanks to DJ Joe Parks and the lively MC Phil Dirkeson! The bridal party made their grand entrance, followed by touching speeches from Maid of Honor Erin and Best Man Michael, along with Beka’s brother. Beka’s grandpa then offered a beautiful prayer, blessing the meal and the couple’s future. And speaking of meals, dinner provided by Sanchez Burrito in Little Falls was absolutely delicious – a definite crowd-pleaser! For those who wanted a break from dancing, yard games provided some extra fun.

Beka and Matthew’s first dance was simply elegant and beautiful, a perfect reflection of their love. Then came the incredibly emotional dances with Beka and her dad, and Matthew with his mom – both moments that brought tears to many eyes.

After the dance floor officially opened, Beka and Matthew cut their cake and sweetly fed each other in front of the stunning wood wall backdrop, adorned with glowing lights.

As the night progressed and the energy of the dance floor was in full swing, I stole Beka and Matthew away for a private photoshoot in the venue’s north pasture, absolutely overflowing with gorgeous white daisies. It was the perfect ending to the night – stunning flowers creating a truly romantic and intimate feel.

What a fun way to end the night! A bubble tunnel leading them to their getaway car! This wrapped up the perfect, most dreamy wedding day for Beka and Matthew! Congrats guys! May the Lord bless you both as you journey together in life! – Mindi Jennings Photography
